The three-star Atlas City Hotel opened its doors to tourists in March, 2005.

The Mellow Mood Group took over the operation of Atlas City Hotel with its 136 well-equipped spacious rooms in a new building. In line with the recent change of image, the group transformed the building into a three-star hotel. Atlas City Hotel went through extensive renovations. The foyer, restaurant and the security system was modernised, in addition to this the Atlas City Hotel now has a section room for 30 persons.



Development and Rooms

The Mellow Mood Group is planning to open two new suites in the near future and to equip all rooms with a minibar and in-room safe (at the moment 50% of the rooms feature such facilities). Atlas City Hotel offers double, twin, triple, quad and family rooms with all modern conveniences to individual travellers and groups alike. In order to satisfy all requirements Atlas City Hotel provides non-smoking rooms with adjustable air-conditioning as well as en-suite bathroom. In addition to the general facilities, the superior category rooms feature a Jacuzzi to satisfy the exacting requirements of travellers seeking special services. The eight-storey Atlas City Hotel has 17 intimate mansard rooms on the top floor. The size and the headroom of these rooms differ from the other rooms of the hotel.



Strong Weekends and Fully-booked Hotels

Weekends are especially busy when the visitors to the city fill the hotels and the ‘No Vacancies’ sign can be hung on the door of Atlas City Hotel; the occupancy of Atlas City Hotel is higher than the average.

‘The staff of the Atlas City Hotel consists of 32 persons. The management is satisfied with the work of the staff’ says Mariann Csendes, manager of Atlas City Hotel. According to Csendes the average length of stay in Atlas City Hotel is 2,8 days. The hotel is mainly visited by tourists from Italy, Great Britain, Sweden and Germany. A great number of Atlas City Hotel guests travel with low-cost airlines and make online reservations in advance. Apart from the international guests Atlas City Hotel has a high number of tourists from Hungary, too.



Guest-centred Attitude and Services

Atlas City Hotel has secure indoor and outdoor parking facilities in the basement and in an enclosed yard at the rear of the hotel. A new massage salon is opening its doors in Atlas City Hotel from the end of the summer season. Atlas City Hotel offers high quality activities, including sightseeing tours, boat cruises and excursions, honeymoon-, family- and dentist packages, wine and bicycle tours, cultural tours, sightseeing tours by airplane, performances of the great horsemen and a carriage ride, night programmes and cookery courses. Atlas City Hotel favours domestic travellers with its reasonable prices and accepts Hungarian Travel Cheques.



Mellow Mood Group


Mellow Mood Group plays a leading role in Hungarian tourism. The owners of the group are Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad, businessmen from Jordan.
