Mellow Mood Ltd. was founded by entrepreneurs Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad, in 1997. Our company profile, originally focusing on the operation of youth hostels and hotels, has developed over the years into a complex network of different businesses. As Mellow Mood Group, it still achieves its main successes in tourism, the range of enterprises has expanded with the creation of property investment, web design and book-keeping divisions.


Due to our experience and progress through these years, the units of our group play a leading role in Hungarian tourism, not only in marketing and selling our own hotel beds but also in other channels of tourism.


In line with our recent change of image, we have developed 5 brands for the sections of our tourism business: Luxury Hotels, Fashion Hotels, Congress Hotels, City Hotels and Top Hostels.

The collection of hotels operating under the management of the group is constantly expanding, actually we are operating 11 hotels and hostels in Budapest. Our seasonal hostels, designed for backpackers, are open during the summer and winter holidays in student dormitory buildings.

In 2007 the first four star Fashion Hotel was opened, the Atrium Fashion Hotel in March. Year 2008 the reconstruction and refurbishment of some of our existing properties were completed.

During the summer of 2008 we opened two new hotels, the three star superior Promenade City Hotel and the four star superior Buda Castle Fashion Hotel. The standards of our 2 new hotel's indicates also that in 2008 they qualified into the membres of "The Best Hotelroom"-s and were proud to receive the Best Of Budapest Award 2008 as well.

We are opening more hotels under the Mellow Mood Flag: the 4 star Expo Congress Hotel opened on 24th July 2009. In year 2010 there will be more hotels opening in downtown Budapest: the five star Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace, the 4 star superior Alta Moda Fashion Hotel and the 4 star La Prima Fashion Hotel. 2010 will also bring the first hotel opening of Mellow Mood Group abroad, in Austria, the 4 star Cosmo Fashion Hotel Vienna. In 2011 we are opening a new fashion hotel located on the Váci street, the Avenue83 Fashion Hotel offering 70 rooms.

Our company is the owner of many domain names, providing multiple channels through which potential guests may reach our properties. We also pay attention to the optimization of our homepages on various search engines. One of the major internet marketing achievements has been the successful procurement of the user rights of the portal Budapest.com, which has allowed the possibility to restructure the whole webpage to create a new, high-quality tourist portal. Sales originating from visits to www.budapest.com form a major part of our business.

Mellow Mood Hotels and Hostels has specialised in providing quality accommodation, reservation and information services to visitors to Hungary since 1997.

We presently operate hotels in 3 star, 4 star categories, and will soon be opening our first 5 star Hotel. Our original products were in the budget market and we still operate high-quality, year-round youth hostels.
